Do you have a retail store? What are your business hours?

No. We are primarily a mail order boutique. You can shop from the comfort of your own art surroundings 24 hours a day! However, from time-to-time we attend art retreats as a vendor (see below).

Why is your pricing in Canadian dollars?

We are located in Canada.
For Canadian customers --- the price they see is the price they will pay.
For U.S. & International customers---Paypal will do the necessary conversions for you.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Our Boutique offers a Paypal shopping cart -therefore we are able to accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and transfers from personal bank accounts. We also accept personal cheques ( U.S. & Canada only), as well as money orders within Canada and International Money Orders (for orders purchased from the U.S. & Internationally).
Credit cards are currently only accepted through the Paypal shopping cart.

I live in Canada and wish to pay by Certapay-how do I do this?

Certapay is an on-line banking payment system, offered by most of the large National banks. All you need to send money is the e-mail address of the recipient.
You simply log in as you would when doing your normal on-line banking business and the option you would choose would be Interac E-Mail Money Transfer & the send money option. You will need to know the e-mail address of who you are sending the money to (orders@papiervalise.com) and a mystery question and answer (which we will send to you in an e-mail, along with your order total). It is that easy!

How long will it take for my order to arrive? **Please read the Shipping section prior to placing your order.

We ship our products using the Canadian Postal system. Orders are shipped Monday to Friday.
Within Canada, orders usually take 3-10 business days.
Shipping to the United States, orders usually take 4-14 business days.
Elsewhere can take approximately 7-21 business days.

How do I get on your mailing list?

We announce the arrival of new products on our Yahoo Announcement Only List.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/papiervalise
This is a very low volume message group. We try and send a message out approximately every 30 days to keep you up to date on new products & art happenings we will be in attendance at . If we get in lots of great new products- you may see more than one message in your "in box". Once you have signed up for the list, you can choose "how" you wish to receive our notices, by going to the "edit membership" at the top right hand corner of our Yahoo Group homepage. You can also go "no-mail" and check-in when you have a moment to read our notices from the message list.
We respect your privacy! We have chosen to keep the list as an announcement only list, so that you do not get inundated with e-mails...however, if we get in some cool, neato, super vintage items, you know we just can't keep that to ourselves!

I am not familiar with Paypal-is your shopping cart secure?

Yes. Paypal uses the same security levels as used by banking Institutions worldwide. We ourselves, have used Paypal to shop within Canada, when shopping on U.S. websites and Internationally too--we would not offer a shopping cart system to our customers unless we tried it out first.... and yes, we like to shop!

How do I sign up for a Paypal account?

Once you have made your purchases and are ready to "check-out", you will be prompted by Paypal to sign up for an account. It is very easy and takes just a few minutes to do.
Or, you may wish to create your paypal account prior to ordering. Simply go to www.paypal.com to begin.

Duties & customs-do I have to pay?

Papier Valise is not responsible for any duties, taxes or brokerage fees you may be required to pay from your home country upon delivery. It is our understanding that if you reside within the U.S. you can accept shipments up to $400.00 before incurring any duties. We suggest you verify this with the Government Customs & Duties department of the country you reside in.

What is your Refund Policy?

We hope that you love & enjoy our products, just as we do. However, if for some reason, you need to return an item you must send us e-mail notification prior to returning the item. All returned items must be received in satisfactory condition. All returns are for store credits only and we regret that we are not able to refund shipping costs. Once you choose your products with your store credit, you are responsible for the shipping/handling to mail your new selections to you. You may wish to have us set aside your "choices" to include them with a future order to make your shipping dollars go farther! We are happy to do this for you!

Where else can I buy your products?

Currently we only sell through our On-Line Boutique.
However, from time to time we do get the chance to attend some amazing Art Retreats as a vendor:
www.artwerx.ca
www.artandsoulretreat.com
www.stamperscelebration.ca
We also host Backyard Boutique Trunk Shows twice a year ( no need to go to Paris, Milan or New York)- if you are in the Calgary area, send us an e-mail so we can put you on the invitation list.

Do you sell your products wholesale?

No, not at this time.

What does Papier Valise mean-and how do I say it?

Loosely translated it means "Paper Suitcase". We are aware that grammatically the valise should come before the papier...but we wanted papier first, and we really have no explanation for this, other than we like the way it sounds.
Papier - pap (rhymes with cap) e (long vowel sound) yay ( rhymes with hay)
Valise- val (rhymes with pal, as in my buddy) ise (rhymes with ease)
