Vintage Airplane Decals

There must have been a trick to adhering these vintage water decals from the 1940's--we're just not sure exactly what that trick is.

These are on thin tissue paper, similar to sewing pattern paper and the image itself is slightly raised.

We think these would be fun stitched onto a paper collage.
